Their Love Story

Bride (Laura) is an ED Nurse at Firelands Health and has been working there for just over two years. I have my RN, BSN and have been a nurse since 2010. Groom (Dan) is a Firefighter/Paramedic and works full-time for Perkins Township; part-time for Huron, Vermilion, and Margaretta. Let's just say my husband met me at Firelands ED but I didn't meet him until our first blind date months later... He stalked me for months while I was working and I never even noticed! He said he even stood behind me while I was charting at the desk and talked to me, but I don't remember him at all. Allegedly looked right at him, smh, you can tell where my focus is at when I'm at work (ha). Fast forward those months later... a mutual friend that I worked with in the ED ended up setting us up. Before I knew it, numbers were exchanged, a first date was locked down and we texted nonstop! When our first date arrived, it was supposed to just be coffee and getting to know each other, that turned into coming back over later that night, our kids meeting and all of us becoming inseparable! And I mean inseparable because he legit never left! We were always with each other, every day, all day, would see each other on work days, would work the same days... we were ridic! But he is my person, my one and only, the love of my life, and the person I couldn't imagine or ever want to live my life without. Finding each other this late in life was long enough to not have him. We were sitting outside at our fire pit on her birthday having a fire. I was nervous to how and when to ask her. I had gotten up to put something away and when I came back I told her I loved her and got down on one knee and asked if she would spend the rest of her life with me and asked her to marry me. My favorite thing about Laura is that she would do absolutely just about anything for me or my son without hesitation. My favorite thing about Dan would be the way he looks and kisses me. It's that look and feeling you get when the other person truly loves you no matter what.
