Their Love Story
We both have full time jobs on top of coming home and being dog parents to our golden doodle, Maggie. We met through instagram DMs thanks to Patty and Amanda. Kat messaged me and thought it was funny they suggested us two meet even though we’d never talked before. We’d texted for a while getting to know each other and decided to meet up. We met at rural king and then went to my aunt Stacey and uncle michaels house, we felt we had a good connection. We departed and thankfully she kept talking to me, and here we are. My favorite thing about Kat is how upbeat and happy she always is. Doesn’t matter what goes on any given day. She cannot be mad or upset. Her happiness makes me happy. Her laugh is contagious and I love how she pushes me to be a better partner and lover through all stages of life. She is the perfect compliment to my personality and way of life. My favorite thing about Carson is he’s not only my fiancé but also my very best friend. It doesn’t matter where we are or what we do, we’re continuously laughing. He’s a go getter and never gives up. He brings so much light and joy into my life. When he comes home after a long day of work the first thing he does… besides saying hi to mags, he kisses me on the forehead and gives me a hug. He never lets me down. “They say when you meet the love of your life time stops. And thats true.” Honestly, I had bought the ring in December and had proposed in April, thinking about how I wanted to do it. On a completely average work day, I got in my car to go home and I was doing my post work mental cool down. I ended up thinking of my gorgeous partner and just thought, today is the day. I got home and she was waiting for me and I asked if she wanted to go to the reservoir, and of course she said yes because she likes adventures. I grabbed the ring and we walked around the reservoir for about an hour. I was asking her next steps and what she wants in life and I discussed what I wanted and it was a nice deep talk. We got to a bench and continued talking a bit. Finally half jokingly (I think) she asked “when are you gonna marry me?” I said how about now? I got on a knee, I asked and she of course said yes. We hugged and took some pictures. One of the best days of our life. Our rings both have diamonds in them. I think it shows that we are like 2 peas in a pod. We’re so simple and similar. My dress just shows how bright and loud I am. When I put it on for the first time, I thought to myself “man, Carson’s gonna cry.” I know because I like it, he’ll love it. He’s always one to compliment me in every way possible.
