Their Love Story

Our first date was actually a blind date. Heather's aunt and uncle set us up. We had breakfast at The Amsden house after church. Our conversation flowed so seamlessly and we were instantly comfortable around each other. Joe proposed during our weekend getaway at Gervasi Vineyard. After dinner, we went for a walk around the property and stopped on a bridge to take in the scenery. Joe had said how happy I make him and I told him I felt the same way and then Joe said, as getting down on one knee, "Well if you give me the chance, I'd like to make you happy for the rest of your life. Heather Ann Schaffer, will you marry me?" It's hard to pick just one thing about Joe that is my favorite. I do love how kind and considerate he is and his sense of humor. I love that we can just be our goofy selves around each other and go from laughing hysterically one minute and then the next we can have a serious conversation. I will say the best thing about him though is how he makes me feel. When I'm with him it just feels right, it feels like I'm home. My favorite thing about Heather can't really be summed up with a single word. Its weird really, I didn't know someone could make me feel the way she does. There are so many great qualities she has that made me fall for her. Her smile, and her knack for having sound effects for everything. I love the way we just click.. we can feed off each others goofiness. I love that she laughs at my jokes and when she laughs just the joy and happiness I get from it. I love that we are so honest and comfortable around each other. She makes me strive to be a better person!
