Meet the Greens

Mike and Tonya met at the University of New Mexico, where they were both college athletes. After a little over a year of friendship, the two decided to start dating and went through four years of a long distance relationship. While their relationship had its challenges, it laid a foundation of communication, trust, and deep appreciation for the time they did have together. After 6.5 years of being together Mike proposed on a family trip to Alaska. It was an intimate moment between the two prior to a morning family hike. The couple just celebrated 7 years of being together and were looking forward to a joyous celebration with their loved ones.

Their wedding day was planned for 3-22-2020, but the world had other plans. Covid-19 swept over the state and Ohio's stay at home order was put in place just one day after their planned wedding date. The Green's decided to make a tough decision, to reschedule their wedding to a later date and tell their guests traveling all over the US to stay home.

However, as Tonya said, "love is not postponed or cancelled". The couple and their immediate family decided to meet at a park to unite The Green's on their original wedding date. It was a beautiful, warm March day and the park was filled with sun and happiness. The bride met her groom and family at the end of the sidewalk aisle. They exchange vows, rings, and kisses and ended with a champagne toast with their family. Despite the challenges leading up to their wedding day, this was a true testimony to their love. It didn't matter when or where, The Green's showed the world that Love Wins.

Congratulations Mike and Tonya! I am honored that you chose me to capture your love story. I cannot wait for Round TWO with the Green's!
