Meet Taylor

Taylor was born and raised in small town Bellevue, OH before making her move to Boston, MA. She attended Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she pursued her passion for the fine arts and glassblowing.

She soon discovered the career of Art Therapy after graduation from art school and moved to Norforlk, VA to pursue a master's degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from the Eastern Virginia Medical School. Because of Taylor's kind and compassionate nature, she knew that making art was not enough. She wanted to find a way for her art to reach and help others. She decided to expand on her alternative glass practices that parallel with her career developments and need to help others. She began exploring with putting different materials into glass pieces, such as brass bullet casings and cremation remains.

Now, Taylor works with local Ohio funeral homes, like Foos & Foos Funeral Home, to provide families with glass memorials. She incorporates cremation remains into custom glass jewelry and unique glass works of art. She also encases bullet casings from military memorial services into glass paperweights for families to remember their loved ones.

While meeting with Taylor, I could see her passion and talent shine through every piece of her work. I "oohed" and "ahhed" at each unique piece, color, and design that lit up my home studio as the light hit the glass.
